Oh my dear darlings :heart:  We all had quite an interesting past couple of days, didn't we?

Do not fret!

dA is not voiding our copyright, and they WILL help us with ToU violations!

Please read this official statement very carefully! It is not long.
Clarifying an Issue with Stock ResourcesThere appears to be a fair amount of misunderstanding on the subject of stock resources so what I would like to do today is attempt to clarify several issues which are of importance to the artists who generously provide stock resources to the public for use and hopefully dispel the confusion and misinformation which is beginning to circulate.
The first issue at hand is in regards to your personal stock terms

Your Personal Stock Terms
Officially deviantART maintains only one "automatic" restriction and that is "No Commercial Use" and that particular restriction can easily be overridden by the actual stock provider.
As far as official policy is concerned each stock resource provider is free to attach any Terms of Use, restrictions or requirements that they see fit and our moderation staff will do the best we can to help you enforce your rules when you need that sort of assistance.
We only ask a few things from you in return;

In case you missed the issue that started this all, there was a journal posted by a stock community member, concerning an issue she had with getting an image taken down that used her stock without crediting her.  After MANY comments back and forth with staff, and much confusion, we all figured out what needed to be done in order to get the issue resolved.  The official journal above outlines the process in a clear and concise way, please read it and fav it and save it in a place where you can reference back if you need to.

Although our fellow stocker went through a lot of stress with this issue, I personally am very thankful that this happened!  It is always a good thing when policies are clarified and these types of discussions are had!

If you have ANY questions or issues, ask Lanny or I, or the Help Desk.  This is the only way things can be resolved.  We are all in this together, and we will make it better through a team effort.  :heart:

Keep on rockin'!

What I find confusing is why just less than a week ago when I filed a DMCA report over misuse of my stock they removed the work and never gave me this runaround that Brin received. It wasn't months ago, just less than 7 days ago.
